Baby Boy Giggles - Ice-cream is his God

Baby Boy and Top Ender both had an ice-cream at the air show we went to on Fathers Day. Baby Boy being the usual glutton that he is had eaten almost all of his before Top Ender had even scoffed a quarter of hers.

With a stub of cone left Baby Boy looked to Top Enders almost full ice-cream
"Mamma? Swap?" Baby Boy asked gesturing at Top Ender
"No honey, no swap" I answered
"OH!" answered Baby Boy

He finished his ice-cream without talking to me and stood next to Daddy, who was clearly now his favourite parent.

"Dadad? Walk?" asked Baby Boy
"Sure Baby Boy, lets all go for a walk" answered Daddy

We all walked down the field a little with Daddy and Baby Boy leading the way. A few moments later Daddy turned to Baby Boy and said;

"Baby Boy? Where are we going?"
"More Ice-cream Dadad!" answered Baby Boy as if it was obvious.

Top Ender Giggles - The gift that keeps on giving

As we were walking through the car park of the Airshow on Fathers Day, Top Ender suddenly stopped, bent down and picked up a shiny £1 coin.

We congratulated her as we carried on walking to the air show as we were in a nice long line of people and promptly forgot all about it in a discussion over if we should have chips or ice-cream first.

Later on that day we were digging on the beach, when suddenly Top Ender found another £1 coin!

"Its your lucky day Top Ender!" I told her
"Yes it is, will you look after it?" she asked
"Of course, you get back to your digging!" I prompted hoping she might find some more money

When Daddy came back from the waters edge with Baby Boy I showed him the £1 coin that Top Ender had found and explained she had found it in the sand.

"Top Ender?" called Daddy
"Yes Daddy?" answered Top Ender
"Where is the £1 you found earlier today?" he asked with a grin
"In my pocket... oh!" she answered as she couldn't find the coin
"Top Ender, you found your own money in the hole!" answered a laughing Daddy

Battle of Britain Memorial Flight

There are many reasons to why I love where my house is situated, but one of the best is that during Air Show season (which is May to October in the UK) that what is shown in the video below is a frequent occurrence! I'm not a plane spotter or an enthusiast, but there is something about the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (Don't mention the War!) that invokes a lot of emotion in me.

This footage was taken in my front garden this afternoon and the plane that is seen is a Dakota. I only know this because Daddy is an enthusiast and told me what it was!

Top Ender Giggles - What am I going to say next?

Daddy and Top Ender went to an Airshow Sunday and it was about the time they were due to call to let me know they had arrived safely.

"Hello!" I sang into the phone

I was greeted by silence.

"Hello?" I queried

Again silence.

In the background I could hear Daddy prompting Top Ender

"Top Ender you need to speak now!"
"Oh! I thought Mummy said she was psychic though?"

Top Ender Giggles - Think it through!

Yesterday we went to an Airshow. As we came off the main road to join the queue into the airfield we began to see some of the aircraft arriving for the show later that day. We all sat in the car watching the planes in the holding pattern waiting to land before Top Ender spoke;

"I guess there must be an Airshow nearby."
"Top Ender, where are we going today?" Asked Daddy
"Erm...An Airshow! I forgot!"
